Loviste - Situated in Luka Bay at the northwestern tip of the peninsula, 17 km northwest of Orebic . The youngest town on Peljesac , founded in mid XIX century by settlers from Bogomolje, island of Hvar. Before that, the only habitants were lighthouse keepers, who lit fires to warn ships of impending shores. Mirce, Point Loviste and Slatina are all parts of Loviste. It is inhabited by 250 people mostly fishermen and farmers (figs, almonds, rogac), and engaged in tourism during summer months. The church of Mary was built in 1928.
