Situated along southwestern slopes of Mt. Rota, 16 km east of Orebic , inland of the peninsula. It has been mentioned since the XIV century, although in similar appearance as today mostly since the XIX century. Throughout the history it has been a temporary duke's headquarters. Above Kuna, in the Prijevor hills, there are sites of Ilirian graveyards. The church of The Ascendense of Mary was built in the XVI century, with cement fences surrounding the front staircase, the gift of master Celestin Medovic, born in Kuna in 1857. There is a bronze statue of this artist created by internationally famous master sculptor Ivan Mestrovic, at the town's entrance. The works of Medovic are preserved in the family house and in the Franciscan monastery. The church of Lady Delorita within this monastery is the most representative one outside of Dubrovnik. Kuna is populated by 258 people.
